Plant Floor Data Capture Apps for Manufacturing

Digitize data capture on the production floor. Quality checklists, shift readings and real-time reports from industrial tablets.

From paper and Excel to real-time digital data

In most industrial plants in northeastern Mexico, plant floor data capture still depends on printed forms, paper logs and Excel sheets consolidated hours or days later. That delay between the plant event and the data available to the supervisor makes it impossible to react in real time to quality deviations, equipment failures or production rhythm variations.

We develop plant floor capture applications designed for the real industrial environment: tablets that work with or without WiFi, configurable forms for each quality, production or maintenance process, QR and barcode reading to identify parts and equipment without manual typing, and digital signature to officially validate records. Each capture is logged with date, time, operator and shift — available to the supervisor in real time from any device.

Our clients in Reynosa and Tamaulipas deploy these apps in automotive manufacturing, electronic assembly, logistics plants and distribution centers. The system integrates with the existing ERP or MES so plant-floor captured data flows automatically into management systems, eliminating double entry and transcription errors that generate inconsistencies in shift reports.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to implement the app?

A standard plant floor capture app — with configurable forms, QR reading, digital signature and real-time reports — is typically ready in 4 to 8 weeks depending on the number of forms, integration complexity with existing systems and the number of revision cycles. We deliver in phases: first a working prototype to validate with operators, then the production version with integrations.

Does the app work on tablets the plant already has?

Yes. Since it's a Progressive Web App accessible from any browser, it works on Android tablets, iPads and Windows devices without installing anything from the app store. We validate compatibility with the specific models your plant uses and optimize the interface for the screen size and industrial conditions of each device. If a device is too old and has performance issues, we diagnose it before the project starts.

Can it integrate with our existing ERP or MES?

Yes, integration with ERP (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Aspel, etc.) and MES systems is one of the main advantages of developing a custom solution. We connect via APIs, direct database connections or automated file exports depending on what your platform allows. Before integration we do a technical discovery to document the data structure and define the synchronization flow, avoiding surprises during implementation.

What happens if an operator has no experience with tablets?

The interfaces are designed for operational use, not technical use: large buttons, clear icons, guided form flows and minimal steps to complete each record. We include an onboarding module within the app itself and provide training materials in Spanish. Experience shows that most operators adapt in one or two shifts when the interface is well designed for their specific process.

How is it guaranteed that offline data is not lost?

The app uses local storage on the device to save each record as it is completed. Even if the device shuts down unexpectedly, the data is preserved. When connectivity is restored — whether WiFi or mobile data — an automatic background sync process uploads all pending records to the server in order. The operator receives a visual confirmation when each record has been successfully synchronized.

Is your production still captured on paper or in Excel?

We design the capture app your process needs, ready to operate offline on the plant floor.
